Your phone as a webcam for Google Meet

Camora turns your Android phone into a webcam on your computer. Google Meet sees it as a normal camera called “Camora”, so you get your phone's much better camera in every call, with no plugins and nothing else to install.

Once

Set up Camora

About five minutes, the first time.

  1. Install Camora on both

The app on your Android phone, and the app on your computer. Both are free, from the download page.

  2. Connect the phone

Plug it in with a USB cable for the lowest delay, or pair it once over Wi-Fi with a 6-digit code.

  3. Start streaming

Tap Start streaming on the phone (or click it on the computer). Keep Camora open on the computer while you use the camera.

Tips for Google Meet

Camora isn't in the list

The browser blocks the camera
Click the camera icon in the address bar and allow meet.google.com to use your camera.
On Ubuntu
Only one app can use Camora at a time there: close other calls or tabs using it first.

Questions

Is Camora free to use with Google Meet?

Yes. Camora is free, with no ads, no watermark and no account: up to 1080p, and 60 fps if your phone supports it.

Does Google Meet need a plugin for Camora?

No. Camora adds a camera called “Camora” to your computer, and Google Meet lists it like any webcam.

USB or Wi-Fi?

USB has the lowest delay (about 150 ms from camera to screen on Windows) and charges the phone while it streams. Wi-Fi needs no cable: pair once with a 6-digit code and it reconnects by itself.

Does it work with an iPhone or a Mac?

Not yet. Camora needs an Android phone (8.0 or newer) and a Windows 11 or Ubuntu computer.

Turn your phone into your webcam

Camora is free: install it on your Android phone and on your Windows 11 or Ubuntu computer, and you're live in a few minutes.
